An interesting antique copper and iron bracelet with military identification numbers to one side, and a figure in an engraved helmet to the other.

It is very likely that the tag was originally a French 10 Centimes coin (c. 1850s) and the figure is Napoleon III, ruler of France during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871). The word "Sedan" is hand engraved on his collar.

After a disastrous military display during the war, Napoleon III was mocked on coins and tokens. This is a scarce relic from a war fought during the Victorian era.

In nice antique condition and left uncleaned by us. Please see all of the photos.

Approximate Measurements:
Length - 7" / 18cm
Tag - 3cm by 3.3cm
